People should consider the type of mnemonics while storing information depending on the way they learn. Basically there are three types of learning known as visual, auditory and kinaesthetic.





Visual learners try to relate the information in the form of notes, pictures and diagrams. Auditory learners try to listen and take notes of the lectures they listen. They relate more effectively to the spoken words. Kinaesthetic learners tend to learn efficiently through movement, touch and space. They learn by practice and replication and primarily appears slow in grasping knowledge.

Following are some of the steps by applying which you can make mnemonic memory more durable.
  • Unpleasant images are often blocked out by the human brain. It is easy to remember images that are more pleasing to the mind. So, try to use pleasant and positive images.

  • Use colorful and vivid images as they are easier to retain than the dull ones.

  • Since mnemonic memory can contain taste, smell, touch feelings, sound, pictures and movements, try to use all you intellect to code information

  • To make your imagination more vibrant give it movement, dimension and space. Movements can be either used to keep in mind activities or continue the course of correlation.
