I have always wanted to acquire the ability to focus solely on something for several hours at once without letting distraction affect me.

It that a possible after completing this course.

My focus currently is ok.

(On a side note): I am a soon to be graduated high-school student who is going to complete this course in the summer, to get a head start in university.

3 things to keep in mind:
Environment
Health
Practice visualization

the more you're aware of, the more powerful you have the potential to be

for example, just yesterday I discovered that electromagnetic fields can interfere with human health and ability to think. they did a double blind study (though I'm too lazy to find it for you), where they hooked up peoples brains to a wire which was grounded to the earth in some people and just led to nowhere outside the room in others. after all the tests they found that the bodies that were electrically shielded by the earth (that means grounded) had less brain activity and slower oscillations than had ever been recorded in any known lab study. Less brain activity may sound like a bad thing, but actually what that meant is that our brains are always overstimulated (for various health reasons), and this impairs our focus and concentration, ability to sleep, etc.

Our body's are conductors, and for the past millions of years we have been grounded by the Earth by walking barefoot, or with leather shoes or animal skin shoes/sandals, etc. Our houses were made out of conductive material to the ground, not carpet. We didn't live on multistory buildings (each story of a building you go up, the less you are grounded and the more EMF pollution you get, usually). We wear rubber soled shoes which block the grounding shield from the Earth when we walk outside, etc.

You may have noticed how much better you feel after just 20 minutes of walking barefoot in the shallow salty walter of an ocean beach, this is one of the best ways to ground yourself. But not everybody has time to go outside barefoot and stand in wet grass, or visit the beach all the time, and it's essential to stay grounded permenantly because there is so much EMF pollution these days - the power lines behind the walls in your house, the telepone lines, etc. In our car it's virtually impossible to get grounded because of the tires.

So what I did was buy a grounding rod, I live on the 2nd story. I stuck it in the ground, ran an insulated wire up to my window through the insulation of my window A/C unit, and alligator clipped it to a grid of metallic-lined duct tape that I put on my bed and the ground beneath my computer desk (where I keep my feet planted).

So far it has vastly helped keep my posture erect (before I was always slouching)
Made me feel more energetic
And I visualize better

Now, this is just one thing I didn't know about as of 48 hours ago. Imagine how many other things are right under our nose that we aren't aware of, that is affecting us. You should start thinking about everything that is around you - the water you drink or shower with (chlorine vapor), the glass that is shielding UV rays and preventing vitamin d synthesis from your body, the overconsumption of sugary foods leading to blood sugar imbalances, etc. These are just a tiny few out of hundreds of hazards our modern lifestyle has resulted in.

Once you get your environment and health under control, the last step is to simply visualize 24/7, and press the limits on your brain (you can use memorization master for this and other techniques on the forum). It then becomes an internal game of repetition and you'll slowly get more mental abilities.

You really should aim higher than just memorizing phone numbers or even just books. Using visualization/imagination you can do things such as learn how to estimate the height of a bottle across the room, based upon visualizing how many steps the bottle is away from you (convert that into meters or feet), do the mental calculation, etc. Tesla did this with his machines and could even simulate the time it would take the machine to wear and tear and break down.

Could you link to the study or article? Would be interesting to read about it more!

Your reply was kind of weird.

I believe that limiting the usage of computer and T.V. and spending that time studying over a period of time will improve focus.

I was simply asking if doing the course improves your focus a great deal.

I exercise for an hour a day. I eat healthy, and I am "grounded" as you say.

However my focus has gotten worse due to increased usage of T.V and computer.

I was wondering if focus is improved drastically after completing this course.

LOL, Rulers are better for measuring then pure visualization.

Why should I aim higher then memorizing books? My goal is to do very well in school.

asking if improving yourself in one area of your life will improve your focus? impossible to tell. if you take medications that interfere with your brain then it doesn't matter how hard you try to train your memory/focus, it will be a struggle and won't work.. that's why there is not a definite 'yes' or 'no' answer. everyone knows water is healthy. but if you drink two glasses of alcohol for every glass of water, water won't quench your thirst. see what I mean? so you have to take into account all of the variables - then yes, of course pmemory will drastically help with focus

Yes, if you do the course your focus and concentration improves.  The school also includes a special software program that trains your focus and concentration.  The process of the doing the exercises, using the software and GMS in daily life all increases your ability to stay focused and concentrated.
