For students

Students make cheat sheets before tests. GMS® makes it possible to memorize those cheat sheets. You will copy the answers form your memory during the test, which is much safer. You can also choose to have the information stored in your memory for a lifetime. The latter will be necessary if you decide to become a specialist in your field.

GMS® will significantly cut down the time needed to prepare for your tests. If you use the GMS® techniques during the academic year you will not have to prepare for tests at all. You will simply remember the content of your textbooks. (It is recommended to memorize your study material in small portions throughout the year. 

Professors

Do not forget that GMS® appeared as a part of the rhetoric art; the memorization techniques used to memorize a sequence of course material are literally the most simple in the system. Any person has to memorize a certain amount of precise information. We are used to jotting things down in our notebooks. How about teaching yourself to record all that necessary information right into your brain? You would be completely independent of cell phones address books or electronic notebooks and never lose the information. It cannot be stolen. No one will access you computer to get your bank account information. You will not need to look through your cell phone in order to find needed information.

Try to use your memory every day. It will prove to be very handy to remember everything you need. Another bonus is that you can record it in your brain faster than in a notebook.

For self-improvement

Imagine that you have just read a book “300 Techniques to Make People Like You.” In a month only a few techniques will be left in your memory. After a year, it may seem like you never even read the book.

You cannot use information unless it is in your head. Memorize the basic concepts you need in a book and use them. The book summary will be in your head and available 24 hours a day. Moreover, if you memorize the information using the GMS®, you retain it in your brain. Information is automatically “built into” your outlook. Your attitude and behaviour will change according to the memorized data.

If you decide to study programming, it can be done in several ways. You could use a reference book or you could study the discipline for five years, until all the basic commands are memorized spontaneously. You could also spend a couple of weeks memorizing a programming language manual and, then, write a program without a cheat sheet - like a professional programmer.

For public speakers

A public speaker simply has to know GMS®. Professional public speakers, like theologians, study mnemonics in one way or another; that is why their speeches are flow so well. Have you ever seen a minister who read a sermon from a notebook? All ministers master mnemonics to a certain extent.

For businessmen

Businessmen have a wide circle of contacts. Oftentimes, when we do not have or remember someones' phone number, we may lose our advantage in our business relations. Memorize all of your important contacts so you never again have to worry about missing another opportunity.

GMS® is not only a good memory system but is one that can also be used as a tool to create variety of illusions, such as the magic tricks we see in circuses and on stage.

How do you create an illusion? It is very simple. We tend to judge others by our own standards. Everyone thinks that they are the most clever and smart. Lets say you are able to ask a business associate about his family, his relatives (calling them by their names) or the meeting he was running late to a few weeks ago. It would surprise him and make him feel special, make him feel a rapport with you – and that benefits YOU.

If, before signing a deal, you learn that your partner is fond of aquarium fish, GMS® will help you get ready for the meeting. Just take a book on aquarium fish and memorize the names of a hundred species. The terms you use will have him thinking you spent at least ten years on the same hobby. This will create the illusion of a bond/rapport through a hobby. A successful business transaction could result just because of this personal connection.

Another interesting thing to note is that, when you memorize information about fish, you may very well become a specialist in this sphere if you put some effort into retaining the knowledge in your memory.

For preserving health

Memory mechanisms are universal. Everything in the human body and brain works according to the same laws. Nature functions by the same laws.  All that is not used in our body begins to atrophy.  Imagine a person who spent a year in a cast. What do you think will happen to his muscles? They will become weak and thin. What will happen if a person does not use his memory?  That persons' memorizing ability will become very poor. The reason the sudden illness of memory loss is spreading over the computerized society is still unknown. Many people over the age of 40 fall prey to Alzheimers disease. This illness first presents as a memory disorder and then spreads further, striking larger brain sections; eventually, a person dies - about five years from the signs of the first symptoms. No inner viruses are found in the deceased body: the nerve cells of an organ responsible for memory, the hippocampus, are simply replaced with simple albumen; that is, they stop functioning.

By performing GMS® exercises, much like gymnastic exercises, you will keep your memory in perfect shape for years to come. If your brains' memorization abilities are intact, the other brain systems are more likely to function properly, too.
